welcome to habit. a place to capture and celebrate the bits of our daily lives. it is our intention to make this capturing and celebration a habit, so we will be here regularly.
we'll be inviting friends to join us here. and in some small way, we are hoping to capture the collective life of a community of women who are artists and writers, photographers and bloggers, mothers and sisters and daughters and granddaughters, and thinkers and seers and wonderers.
we believe that there will be something extraordinary about holding these pieces of life together in one place.

emily: emily is a painter, a baker, a photographer, a care-taker, a lover of light and life. she lives with her husband, their two children, and felix the dog, in a house with a yard that is home to a herd of deer, a fox, and occasionally a goose.

molly: molly and her husband are raising four little girls in a fixer-upper farmhouse in maryland. molly loves to knit, write, get her hands dirty in clay, discover a good song, and feed her family's clutch of chickens wandering around the farm. she is inspired by the natural world, a great recipe, and sleepy babies.

tara: tara shannon thayer is a writer, photographer, and stay-at-home mom who is currently working 40-plus hours at an office job as a writer and photographer.she and her husband tim are raising six daughters (five of them teenagers, and an eight-year-old), two cats, and a labrador, in a small house in the same hudson river town in which tara grew up.
